This colorful piece delves into the emotional essence of a specific memory rather than the literal narrative. Drawing inspiration from humanism and modern impressionist techniques, my goal was to create a subtle focal point while allowing the surrounding environment to blur in order to capture the idea that the perspective on the memory is that of a child's. Despite not being a direct self-portrait, the artwork reflects my childhood perception that life as a whole was more vibrant and through this painting, I wanted to recapture that colorful world in a wholesome moment shared between a grandfather and a granddaughter.
