Guidelines

Carmel Art Association will provide each participating student with a wooden panel that may be used for either 2D or 3D media. Allowable media includes: painting, drawing, pastel, sculpture, printmaking, & collage. No photography or digital work – unless it is part of a mixed media piece. The wooden panel can serve as a base for 3D work.

Guidelines:

• Panel edges must be finished. NO WET PAINT allowed. The committee and staff of the Gallery reserve the right to refuse wet artworks (This is a storage issue. Please have your students plan their projects accordingly so that the work is completely dry at drop-off)

• Your name and school must be on your artwork (written on the back of the panel.)

• An Artist Statement and a photo of the artist are required and due with each completed art piece. 

• All work must be for sale. 80% of the sale will go to the artist, 20% commission to the Gallery. Suggestions on how to price artwork can be found on the For The Love of Art website here: https://www.caaftloagallery.com/how-to-price-artwork

• Ceramic work must be durable enough to be transported and displayed without damages.

• No purely photographic or digital work.
