Caleb (Teddy) Randall VI, A Sunset of Memories, acrylic, $10,000
Caleb (Teddy) Randall VI
Palma School, Senior
My name is Caleb Randall, but everyone calls me Teddy, and I am a Senior at Palma High School. I absolutely love photography, capturing moments in time and reliving them forever. Painting is one of the ways that I relive those memories. Each brushstroke brings back a different color of that specific memory and makes me feel like I am back at that place and time.
My art piece, “A Sunset of Memories,” is one of those works where I relive my memories. In my opinion one of the prettiest sights to behold is a sunset over the ocean. The sunlight glistens off of the water like a million tiny jewels, while the light blends with the rolling clouds to form a picturesque yellowy-orange. Sunsets such as this one bring back a flood of memories of friends, family, and fun.
After graduating from Palma, I will attend Hillsdale College in Michigan where I intend to major in Finance while also completing the prerequisites for medical school, and hopefully fitting in a few art classes. After graduating from Hillsdale, I plan to attend medical school and become certified to practice Functional Medicine. After receiving my certification, my hope is to come back to Monterey County and open up my own practice, helping people live healthier and longer lives.
