When I was kid, a hobby that I had was that I liked to draw. I liked to draw random things like characters from movies and video games and stuff around my house. I got into sports when I was young and one of the sports I liked the most growing up was basketball because I used to watch it with my dad. I still watch basketball a lot and I play it for fun so it’s a hobby that I’ve had for a while now. I like to collect jerseys from different teams and players and I have a couple that I hung up on my wall for decoration.

I made this painting for my art class to go with my theme of how I can evoke nostalgia through my art and I took a picture of the jerseys on my wall and painted them on a wood canvas. The piece goes along with my theme because I watched a lot of sports especially basketball growing up and sports are still a big part of my life. I enjoyed painting this piece and I like the finished product.
